The Diploma in Business Management programme is offered to school leavers interested in pursuing a career in business management. This programme will provide students with the skills and knowledge in total and integrated aspects of business management, and is suitable for those wishing to acquire a sound understanding of all aspects of business. Students will be trained in all functional areas of management of a business such as accounting, management, marketing, and human resource management that can be beneficial for career development and organisational development, and foster a spirit of entrepreneurship among the students.
Malaysian Applicants
1. Pass Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)/equivalent with a minimum of three (3) credits in any subjects; or
2. Pass Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM)/ equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C in any subject; or
3. Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum of Grade Maqbul; or
4. Pass Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) Level 3 in the relevant field and Pass SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject; or
5. Certificate (MQF Level 3)/Equivalent; or
6. Pass APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) Certificate; or
7. Other qualifications recognised by the senate of UM; and
8. Obtained at least a Pass in English Language at the SPM level

The Diploma in Management programme is offered to school leavers interested in pursuing a career in organizational management and administration.
This programme will equip students with the skills and knowledge required in management as well as expose them to basic aspects of organizational management, including management, marketing, finance, management information systems, human resource management and strategy implementation. Curriculum, course content, academic standards and course evaluation are specifically designed to enable students to gain and develop the skills and knowledge relevant for a career in management.
Malaysian Applicants
Candidates must fulfill the following requirements
i. Passed SPM with a minimum of three (3) credits or equivalent: OR
ii. Obtained APEL Certificate from MQA for admission to Diploma (Level 4); OR
iii. Obtained other qualifications recognized by the Senate; AND
iv. Have a minimum of one (1) year working experience; AND
v. Fulfilled the programme special requirements set by the Senate.
Non Malaysian Applicants
Non Malaysian applicants who wish to pursue study in the Executive Diploma programme at the University must meet the following general requirements:
a) Pass at least General Certificate of Education 'O' Level or other qualification recognized by the Senate; AND
b) Obtained the following results in one of the English proficiency exams as described below:
i) A minimum score of 397 (PBT) or 30-31 (IBT) for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); OR
ii) Band 4.0 and above for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); OR
iii) A Minimum score of 160 in Cambridge English: Advance(CAE); ORCEFR B2 or CPE (180) (Cambridge English Proficiency / CEFR C1; OR
iv) A minimum score of 30 in the Pearson Test of English (PTE); OR
v) A minimum score of A2 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); OR
vi) A minimum of Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET).

This programme aims to develop graduates with accounting and business management skills to either develop their career or further their education in field of accounting.
Malaysian Applicants
